По данным газеты Evrensel, согласно переписке между компанией и её поставщиками, Boğaziçi Elektrik повысит цены в начале июля.
Издание отмечается, что финансовое давление на фирмы с целью повышения цен на электроэнергию и другие товары усилилось в результате падения стоимости лиры по отношению к доллару США. Повторные выборы мэра Стамбула были намечены на 23 июня после того как Высшая избирательная комиссия (YSK) аннулировала итоги голосования, прошедшего в марте, на основании ходатайства правящей Партии справедливости и развития (ПСР).
В заявлении Boğaziçi Elektrik говорится, что в последние месяцы стало невозможным продавать электроэнергию по текущим ценам, поскольку себестоимость продукции выросла на 34%, пишет Evrensel.
Добавим, что ПСР в этом году, в связи со своей предвыборной кампанией по случаю общенациональных местных выборов, пыталась отложить повышение цен на такие товары, как электричество, бензин и продукты питания, а также вывести экономику из рецессии. Правящая партия потеряла контроль над несколькими крупными городами на выборах 31 марта.
